The C.O.R.E. Covenant

The central relational agreement governing alignment with The Fountain

The Core Covenant represents the central relational agreement between The Fountain Apostolic Collective, Dr. Corey D. Butler, Senior Apostle, and all aligned delegates, whether individual or institutional.

This covenant articulates the spiritual, relational, and ethical expectations that govern alignment and defines the nuances of how relationship, authority, and responsibility function within The Fountain.

The Core Covenant is not a legal instrument, but a covenantal framework rooted in honor, accountability, clarity, and Kingdom purpose. It establishes shared understanding so that alignment is sustainable, healthy, and fruitful.

Four Covenantal Pillars

Connection

Defining the nature and posture of alignment

Connection defines the nature and posture of alignment within The Fountain. Alignment is relational before it is structural and covenantal before it is organizational. This section establishes the nuanced understanding of alignment, distinguishing between relational proximity and institutional governance.

Key Elements:

  • •Horizontal relationships are relational and developmental, providing access, mentorship, and counsel without governing authority
  • •Organic sonship is relationally discerned over time and is not automatically conferred through alignment or financial participation
  • •Individual Alignment provides relational proximity and development without transferring institutional authority
  • •Institutional Alignment establishes apostolic partnership appropriate to the oversight modality selected

Oversight

How apostolic authority and care function

Oversight defines how apostolic authority, accountability, and care function within alignment. Oversight within The Fountain is exercised to provide support, wisdom, counsel, and direction—never control or coercion.

Oversight Includes:

  • •Spiritual covering
  • •Strategic advisement
  • •Biblical counsel
  • •Corrective guidance
  • •Crisis management and aversion
  • •Restoration processes
  • •Succession planning

Oversight boundaries are clearly defined, mutually agreed upon, and exercised with restraint and integrity. In all cases, oversight is intended to protect, strengthen, and sustain individuals and institutions.

Relational Expectations

Reciprocal responsibilities and mutual investment

Relational Expectations articulate the reciprocal responsibilities between The Fountain, the Apostle, and aligned delegates. Alignment assumes mutual investment, accessibility, responsiveness, and honor.

The Fountain Commits To:

  • •Support for organizational endeavors
  • •Transparency regarding operations
  • •Swift and responsive care
  • •Monthly equipping opportunities
  • •Access to annual gatherings
  • •Financial integrity
  • •Safe and honorable environment

Delegates Commit To:

  • •Walking in honor and humility
  • •Engaging with clarity and consistency
  • •Maintaining open communication
  • •Upholding vision and values

The Senior Apostle Commits To:

  • •Relational and spiritual support
  • •Personal integrity and appropriate transparency
  • •Timely and responsive pastoral care
  • •Monthly apostolic equipping
  • •Biblical counsel and spiritual oversight
  • •Prophetic advisement and discernment
  • •Approachability and character consistent with apostolic leadership

Ethical Expectations

Moral, doctrinal, and behavioral standards

Ethical Expectations define the moral, doctrinal, and behavioral standards required of all aligned individuals and institutions. Alignment requires a lifestyle consistent with biblical standards of character, righteousness, and integrity.

Required Notification:

Aligned individuals and institutions are expected to promptly notify the Apostle and The Fountain of any extenuating circumstances that may impact alignment or public witness, including:

  • •Impending litigation
  • •Marital challenges
  • •Significant health concerns
  • •Financial crises

Grounds for Expulsion:

  • •Salacious or defamatory communication
  • •Character assassination of the Apostle, his family, or The Fountain, whether privately or publicly
  • •Departure from orthodox Christian doctrine (theology, Christology, Bibliology, Pneumatology)
  • •Embrace or promotion of heretical, questionable, or willfully erroneous doctrine

Ethical accountability exists to protect the integrity of the collective, the credibility of apostolic leadership, and the spiritual well-being of all aligned parties.
